Catherine Fay Bardsley was born in Oakville, Ontario on June 4, 1952 to parents Harry and Alma. She was the youngest of five children: Jack, Evelyn, Lois and Norah.

Cathy became a mom at the young age of 14 to Sharlene who was adopted by Cathy's eldest sister, while always maintaining a special place in her heart as her niece. At 16, David was born and then several years later Cathy and her now ex-husband welcomed Christopher (Erin) and Ryan, her baby.

Cathy expressed her profound love and pride for Mackenzie, her very special grand daughter who was born in 2013. They enjoyed going to the movies, drawing for countless hours and playing board games even up to her last week with us.

Holding a special place in her heart are pre-deceased great-niece Kayla, and great nephews Bradley and Curtis.

Cathy also leaves behind her miniature chihuahua Mini, who was the love of her life.

Her family thanks Dr. Baird, Dr. Ceaser, Dr. Bonta and the many amazing nurses from Collingwood General & Marine Hospital. Finally to Dr.McLachlin, the unmatched nurses, PSWs and volunteers at Campbell House Hospice for their compassion and care in Cathy's last days.
